KCKPS Will Offer Curbside Meal Pickup Service Starting Monday

Starting on Monday, March 23rd, Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools will offer lunch to students of KCKPS at four locations around Wyandotte County.

Meal distribution will be offered to those 18 and younger through a pickup service. Families are asked to utilize the curbside service to help promote personal health and social distancing.

The locations include the following:

  • Arrowhead Middle School- 1715 N. 82nd Street
  • Wyandotte High School- 2501 Minnesota Avenue
  • Schlagle High School – 2214 N. 59th Street
  • JC Harmon High School – 2400 Steele Road

Pickup times are Monday through Friday from 11am until 2pm each day. Parents must have children present to pick up meals. Additional information and the distribution pattern can be found here.

Families without transportation will still be able to utilize the meal distribution program, but will be required to stand six feet apart. KCKPS Police Officers and staff will be on hand with instructions upon arrival.

KCKPS ofrecerá almuerzos que podrá recoger desde su carro (“curbside pickup”) a partir del Lunes  

A partir del Lunes 23 de Marzo, las Escuelas Públicas de Kansas City proveerán almuerzo a los estudiantes de KCKPS en cuatro ubicaciones alrededor del condado de Wyandotte.

La distribución de los alimentos se ofrecerá a aquellos que sean menores de 18 años. Las familias podrán utilizar el servicio recogiendo sus alimentos desde su automóvil, para ayudar a promover la salud personal y el distanciamiento social.

En las siguientes ubicaciones:

  • Arrowhead Middle School- 1715 N. 82nd Street
  • Wyandotte High School- 2501 Minnesota Avenue
  • Schlagle High School – 2214 N. 59th Street
  • JC Harmon High School – 2400 Steele Road

Las horas para recoger son de Lunes a Viernes de 11:00am a 2:00pm cada día. Los padres deben tener a los menores presentes para recoger los alimentos. Información adicional y el patrón de distribución se encuentran en aqui.

Familias sin transporte podrán utilizar el servicio de distribución de alimentos, pero deberán mantenerse a 6 pies de distancia. Oficiales de policía y empleados les proveerán instrucciones al llegar.
